We originally thought we would let this learning forum be geared at leaders. Morph 2.0 was going to be the best leadership learning we could produce. But the response we received to do something in the area of life change and transformation for a group larger than just leaders was overwhelming. So we have listened.
We still have leadership resources and tools available that leaders from all walks of life will benefit from. But the big focus is on building a tribe of people from all over the world that want to be a part of a Transformational Trek.
The blog on velocityculture.com has been an effort to call out how our modern textual information based methods have left people cold, unchanged and frustrated. While the ineffectiveness of the old is clearer than ever, the way forward isn't. Someone has to be the tour guide for the new terrain. Someone has to be the curator pointing out interesting and important features of the new landscape we are traversing. This is the cutting edge of personal growth and development.
The Transformational Trek Tribe is just that. People from several continents coming together in an online community to do daily practices together. To converse about the specifics of their journey. To engage video, podcast, conference call, live web-casts and most of all each other as our transformative trek unfolds.
We need a way forward, this is one such way.
What is transformation? How is it defined? What things lead to it? What is a centering practice? What do the mystics say are the three critical factors in all transformation? Why have more sermons and bible studies and reading not really changed peoples lives according to all the statistics? What do the ancient sages teach us about deep change in us? How is a spirituality of seeing, one taught by all the great teachers and the model employed by Jesus, different than the spirituality of textual study taught in our modern religious system?
You can read Food and Wine Magazine. Read the recipes. Let your mouth water reading it. You can research various unique ingredient you have never heard of. You can watch the recipe made on TV. You can hear people's comments about how good the dish is. But what you can't do is actually taste the dish until you make it. Everything up until you make the dish is preliminary. In most religious institutions of the last century I fear we have been messing around with preliminaries. I actually want to cook and eat and celebrate the artistry, scent and flavors of the dish. How about you?

Grow the tribe — pass the manifesto you just read to anyone on your mailing list that you think would be interested in this journey... There has to be at least a dozen you can think of. Their religious or lack of religious affiliation does not matter at all. This tribe will be composed of all sorts of people, many considering themselves spiritual but not religious.
